Our Classes & Schedules: 

• AIBF is an international ballet folklorico organization which means that dancers and all levels will learn traditional dances from countries including, but not limited to: Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Texas, Spain, Brazil and many more.   
• In addition to AIBF maestros, most levels additionally receive teaching from guest choreographers for non-Mexican ballet folklorico instruction.
• All registered dancers will be placed into class levels by their skill as determined by the AIBF folklorico maestros.  
• Registered dancers are placed and promoted into levels based on the maestros' determination. 
• New registered dancers with prior folklorico experience with another dance company may be asked to audition so that their level placement can be determined by the maestros.

Beginner Level 1

Dancers in the B1 level class range from age 5-9

  Dancers in the B1 level are new to folklorico or have a few years of experience.

Beginner Level II

Dancers in the B2 level class range from age 6-12.  

Dancers in the B2 level have anywhere from two to six years of folklorico dance experience.

Intermediate 1 & 2 Level Classes

Dancers in the Intermediate levels classes range from age 9-15.  

Dancers in the intermediate levels  may have anywhere from four to eight years of folklorico experience.

  Advanced Level Classes

Dancers in the Advanced level  class range from age 13 to 25 

Dancers in the Advanced level   class most often have more than six years of folklorico dance experience.

Adult Level 

Dancers in the Adult Level range from age 18 to adult.

Dancers in this Basic  level most often have no prior dance experience.
