Here's a peek into what AIBF has been up to this dance season...

AIBF's 38th Annual Showcase

AIBF held its 38th Annual Showcase on Saturday, June 24th at Cullen Performance Hall on the University of Houston campus.

The audience totaled a little over 1,000 in attendance - the largest showcase audience AIBF has ever had in it's history!!

Our dancers were accompanied throughout the showcase by live music performed by the amazingly talented Mariachi Imperial de America, Sur y Viento, Conjunto Norteño Milenio, and Banda Orgullosa de Guanajuato.

Over the length of two hours, our dancers proudly and beautifully represented the following countries and states:

  • El Salvador
  • Texas
  • Ecuador
  • Guerrero, Mexico
  • Chihuahua, Mexico
  • Sonora, Mexico
  • Nuevo Leon, Mexico
  • Tamaulipas, Mexico
  • Sinaloa, Mexico
  • Nayarit, Mexico
  • Colima, Mexico
  • Jalisco, Mexico

AIBF also designated and recognized United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as our 38th Annual Honoree during our showcase, thanking her for all of the support that she has extended to Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico during the 2016-2017 season.

Thank you, again, Congresswoman Lee, for your help and support!

AIBF Dancers Come Home as WINNERS!

On Saturday, April 1st, our Advanced Level students competed in the 2017 Houston Baile Ballet Folklorico Competition hosted by Talento Bilingue de Houston.

We entered into various categories and are proud to announce that our dancers won 1st in the Estado de Sonora category and 2nd in the Estado de Tamaulipas!

We are beyond proud of our dancers and instructors for their hard work and commitment.  They endured many long practices in the weeks leading up to the competition and it is clear that their hard work paid off!!

AIBF would like to extend our sincerest thanks to not just our dancers and instructors, but also to our parents who have continued to sacrifice their time and efforts for their children's love for folklorico and AIBF's mission.  We'd also like to express our gratitude to Talento Bilingue de Houston for granting us the opportunity to compete.

We can't wait for 2018 so that we can compete again and bring home the overall group win!  Thank you to all for your

Go Texans! Beat those Patriots!

At AIBF, we never miss an opportunity to have fun and show our Houston pride!  Our dancers and instructors show us in this video that we are the Houston Texans' biggest fans who know how to have fun in our mission!  We at AIBF wish the Texans good luck in their upcoming playoff game this Saturday, January 14th!

Breast Cancer Awareness!

AIBF dedicated our practices in October to Breast Cancer Awareness.  Our students, parents and instructors wore pink in SUPPORT of the fighters, ADMIRATION of the surviros and HONOR of the fallen.  We were proud to be a part of this worthwhile cause in cancer prevention!

AIBF in the Houston Chronicle!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, AIBF was asked to perform for the Houston Chronicle and we feel honored to have done so!

Thank you, Houston Chronicle, for extended to us this opportunity!

48th Annual Houston Fiestas Patrias Parade!

AIBF was once again honored to participate in Houston's 48th Annual Fiestas Patrias Parade in downtown Houston! We were so excited to have so many new AIBF families join us this year!  It was definitely hot, but our dancers and parents made the best of it and were a joyous source of entertainment for all who came out to support.

We'd like to give a special thank you to AIBF parent Alex Luster for sharing his amazing talent and making this video which showcases beautifully all of the hard work and dedication of our AIBF parents and dancers and more importantly, the fun had by all! Thank you, again, to all of our AIBF dancers and families for their commitment to helping us make this year the best year in AIBF history!  We couldn't do it without you!

AIBF Live on Channel 2 - Houston Life!
