Welcome!  Bienvenidos!  TO THE AIBF 45TH  DANCE SEASON !

The mission of the Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico dance organization is to promote and disseminate the Hispanic and Texan Culture and to promote cultural exchanges between the Hispanic community and the people of the various cultures in our City of Houston, State of Texas and United States of America. To achieve and accomplish these goals, the Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico dance organization teaches the traditional cultural dance of Latino countries around the world to youth and adults, Hispanic and non-Hispanic alike, and showcases these dances through the presentation of programs in collaboration with the local educational institutions, corporations, foundations and local neighborhoods. These programs include a diverse annual citywide parades, citywide forums, community festivals and various local community workshops.

The AIBF Practice Venue is at the  MECA East End Campus (also known as TBH)

AIBF PRACTICES ARE HELD ON  MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS AT TBH:  AIBF is fortunate to collaborate with MECA East End to celebrate and cultivate our dancers talent in the East End community.  

We  are so proud of our administration, maestros, families and dancers  to adapt and find creative ways to continue our mission and doing what we love to do most - teaching and learning ballet folklorico!  

REGISTRATION  DETAILS:    

IMPORTANT NOTES

**PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING**

  • Registration:  2023/2024
  • Registration Fee per family - $35
  • No cash or money orders will be accepted as a form of payment for tuition or recital fees for the 2023/2024 season.
  • All dancers/parents must attend a mandatory orientation before they are allowed to begin classes.
  • Registration fees will be processed after orientation.
  • In a continued effort to increase our efficiency, all families will be set up for automated debit for monthly tuition and recital fee payments.
  • In lieu of recital fundraising, EACH  family will be required to pay a $250 recital fee per family (not per dancer).  All families will sign up for a payment plan at the time of registration.  Guidelines for a recital fee refund are currently being reevaluated. 
  • All students accepted, age 5-25 for the Beginners, Intermediate and Advance classes.  Please note the change in minimum age requirement from 4 to 5 years old and maximum age to 25.  This is a change from previous years. 
  • The Adult Intro Beginners Class is for older adults with little to no folklorico experience 
  • Instructors and office staff will determine the level in which all dancers are placed.

2023-2024 Tuition & Fees

 

Registration Fee per family:     $35  

Monthly Tuition:                      $70/first dancer,

                                               $40/each additional dancer

                                     $35/ Adult Intro to Ballet 

                                                       Folklorico dancers

Recital Fee per family:             $250 (see note in above section)

 

TUITION BREAKDOWN

  • One dancer enrolled in any one of our classes pays an average of just $8 per class at this tuition rate!
  • Families who have more than one dancer enrolled in any one our classes are paying an average of only $5 per class for each additional dancer at the additional dancer monthly rate!

We are extremely happy to announce three new instructors are joining AIBF:

Martha De La Paz, the Beginners 1 & 2 and Adult Intro Instructor is a current Pasadena ISD school teacher who brings many years of dance and classroom experience.  Maestra Martha is also a former AIBF Beginners dance teacher who has previously taught many of our dancers.

 

AIBF is also very fortunate to have Annie Pinedo, an AIBF alumni and her husband

Jesus Reyes Camarillo, two former professional dancers from the Ballet Folkorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez who will be  teaching  the intermediate and advance levels. They are all excited and happy to be teaching at AIBF.
